- After 1 January 2022 one prerequisite for the granting of entitlement to use a familiar taxi driver is that the dispatching company that arranges taxi travels reimbursed by Kela can assign a familiar taxi driver to the customer.

Combination of taxi journeys reimbursed by Kela
The taxi journeys of customers using Kela taxi will start to be combined again from September 1, 2022. In Kela taxis, the combination of customers’ trips was suspended due to the corona pandemic in March 2020. Now, large-scale corona restrictions have largely been abandoned. That is, 1.9. after that, other customers may also come on the transport of a customer traveling to or returning from healthcare.
Combining trips also applies to regular taxi customers. However, the customer’s trips will not be combined if the health care has assessed that it is not possible due to the customer’s health condition. Trips are also not combined if the customer states when ordering the trip that he has corona or is going to a corona test.
